Senior Seminar

BIOL 451 - Senior Seminar

In the biology senior seminar, each student prepares and presents a report in the biological sciences.  The course has a speaking intensive designation (SI) and is a requirement for all senior biology majors.  Each seminar section focuses on a particular area of biology that is determined by the individual instructor.

In the fall of 2008, I will be teaching a seminar on the genetics of nutrition.  This course will be organized into an applied approach so that the nutrients that students choose for their presentations will be discussed according to their functions and their effects on the body.    Genetic disorders that limit the ability to use each nutrient will also be discussed.

A website for this course will become available as the course gets underway in the fall of 2008.
